This is located in Meru County in Eastern Kenya and is owned by Charles Mutwiri. The farm derives its name from 4 family generations. Starting with only 150 coffee trees inherited from his father, Charles now owns 17,000 trees. Charles is a community leader who tirelessly works to improve lives in his community. He helped establish Women Organic Coffee group to inspire economic and social empowerment in his community.
This lot is entirely composed of Rairu 11, a newer cultivar developed to address numerous issues, including industry-wide susceptibility to leaf rust, parasites and climate change.
