A Family Place

On October 14th, 2013 the local non-profit A Family Place launched in Yamhill county as an active Relief Nursery to aid families in the community. The role of a Relief Nursery is to serve high-risk families in order to prevent child abuse and ensure their safety. The ideation is that a good early childhood development should be available and a right to everyone. This in turn is an investment in the future of the community. A Family Place is focused on looking for answers that last, not just a temporary solution. They offer a variety or services that have been derived from research-based principles proven to work in these situations and environments. Flag & Wire Benevolence Program

How does a company “give back”? Or just “give”? We want our company to be involved in making things better and one of the ways we’re working toward that is with the Benevolence Program. If you’re reading this blog, you probably already know that we have a blend called “Benevolence”. We picked that name for a number of reasons. It’s fun to say--it’s an easy-to-say long word. Four nice, tidy syllables. The coffee itself is blended to be benevolent, kindly, well meaning. It’s blended to be pretty smooth and approachable. So the name made sense to us.
